Makuach Maluach

Having lit up the NBL1 North in 2022, earned his first opportunity in the NBL at Melbourne United and now is entering a second season at the Sydney Kings NBL25.

Grew up in Sydney and spent four years at the University of New Mexico and in 121 matches with the Lobos, averaged 10.9 points and 4.0 rebounds while shooting the three ball at 34 per cent.

Started his professional career with Kouvot in Finland, where he played for both their Division 1 and Division 2 teams for the 2021/22 season, before joining the inaugural NBL1 North season of the Darwin Salties.

Along with delivering one of the most remarkable dunks in the open floor, was instrumental in leading the Salties into the playoffs before joining Melbourne United for NBL23.

Played 18 games and showed some good signs with 2.7 points over 6.3 minutes, before playing with the Salties again in 2023 ahead of returning home to join the Kings.

Played 21 games for Sydney in NBL24 for 4.2 points and 1.4 rebounds in 10.1 minutes ahead of a third season with the Salties for 20.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists on 46 per cent three-point shooting leading into a second season at the Kings.
