Pride in green and gold
Sydney Kings Head Coach Brian Goorjian said the performance highlighted the impact of both players at the international level.
“I’m really proud of them,” he says. “What JG went through last year with his shoulder, to then come back in this way, it’s been great to see. This performance gives him a great opportunity to put his hand up for the World Cup.”
“And for Xavier, having the chance to learn from this experience has been great, and he’ll bring that back to the Kings this season."
“We’re just so proud.”
Kings on the big stage
Hoops Capital CEO Chris Pongrass said Cooks and Galloway’s success shows just how much talent is coming through the club.
“It’s great to see them both be huge contributors to the success of the Boomers.”

“For JG, people forget how young he is and yet he's now entering his sixth season in the NBL. We’re just so thrilled that he’s been able to go there and show all the work that he’s put in during the off season, for his body and for his game.”
“And everyone knows how Xavier can influence a game, so for him to be able to continue to do that at that level and come away with the gold – we're just so happy for them.”
