Toohey selected by Warriors in 2025 NBA Draft

The NBA dream of Sydney King #240 Alex Toohey has finally come to fruition, after he was selected by the Golden State Warriors with the 52nd pick, via the Phoenix Suns, in the 2025 NBA Draft in Brooklyn, New York.
Toohey, who spent two seasons with the Sydney Kings as an NBL Next Star, will now travel to San Francisco to join his teammates and start preparing for the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, which will run from July 10-20, followed by NBA training camp in September.

Hoops Capital CEO Chris Pongrass congratulated Toohey on achieving his dream and is excited to watch the next chapter of his career unfold.

The Canberra-born talent's selection comes after impressive showings at the Draft Combine in Chicago and team workouts.
