Sydney Kings fans are proving they are desperate to be a part of Australian sporting history, by their incredible response to ticket sales for the first-ever Christmas night clash.
The venue is already more than 50 per cent sold-out, with Qudos Bank Arena’s capacity limited to 9500 for the occasion.
The ticket rush for the Christmas night match vs Melbourne United is part of the reason why the Kings have seen a 30 per cent growth in general ticket sales year on year combined with record membership sales.
Another contributing factor is the back-to-back, nail-biting last victories Sydney has delivered at Qudos Bank Arena.
Fans have been treated to consecutive incredible finishes with Kouat Noi hitting a three-point shot to defeat Cairns and Shaun Bruce following suit last Sunday with a last-second clutch bucket to defeat the Illawarra Hawks.

Sydney Kings chairman and co-owner Paul Smith, has encouraged fans not to miss out on the historic Christmas night game.
“Imagine the moments in Australian sport that were bigger than sport,” said Smith,
“The first Boxing Day Test, the first night game in World Series Cricket in 1978, Major League Baseball season opener at the SCG 2014 and the first Anzac Day AFL game in 1995 are just to name a few.
“In nearly 50 years, there have been very few seminal moments that changed the sporting landscape.

“And Christmas night 2022 will be added to the list where history will be made, and all of Sydney can be part of the event, not just sports fans.
“This will be a significant sports occasion I have no doubt.
“We have experienced unprecedented interest in the game, and we look forward to a great occasion
“We hope that Christmas night with the Kings can bring people together to celebrate community, friendship and giving to those less fortunate.”
