"Sydney is a second home to me and I can't wait to be back playing in front of all those loyal Kings fans."

With the NBL25 pre-season officially tipping off recently, it won't be long until the new-look Sydney Kings start their quest towards a sixth championship.

Before Brian Goorjian's side officially tip-off their 2024-25 campaign at the first-ever Hoopsfest in Perth on Sunday, September 22 against Adelaide, Kings fans will get the chance to witness their revamped outfit in person.

The Hoops Capital club is excited to announce they will be hosting a pre-season fixture against the New Zealand Breakers on Friday, August 30 at Sydney Olympic Park's Quaycentre.

The match, which will tip-off at 7.30pm AEST, will present the purple and gold faithful the first chance to see recruits Cam Oliver, Bul Kuol, Keli Leaupepe, Tyler Robertson, Izayah Le'afa, Jason Spurgin and Henry Lau in Kings colours.

Not only that, it will mark fan-favourite Xavier Cooks' remarkable return to Sydney.

"Sydney is a second home to me and I can't wait to be back playing in front of all those loyal Kings fans," Cooks said.

"The last game I played in the NBL was against the Breakers in the NBL23 grand final series, so I can't wait to take them on again very soon at Quaycentre.

"This pre-season game will tip off what will be a massive year for the club."
