Rosen to be inducted into Kings Ring of Honour

The impact Brad Rosen made during his time as a Sydney King has been acknowledged after he was unveiled on Wednesday as the club's third Ring of Honour inductee.
During his five seasons with the harbour city club, Rosen tallied 99 games and finished with career totals of 410 points, 105 rebounds, 149 assists, 48 steals, two blocked shots, 1,262 minutes, 46.5 per cent field goal and 73.7 per cent free-throw.
Kings historian Matt McQuade said Rosen, who was also on the Kings' coaching staff for their inaugural championship in 2002-03, is a worthy recipient of the award, joining the likes of Tom Garlepp and Ben Knight in the Ring of Honour.

"Brad ‘Lightning’ Rosen is one of those stories that Hollywood loves – a kid with a dream who made that dream into a reality," McQuade said.
"From his time as a junior at the City of Sydney Association where he marvelled at the exploits of the Sydney Supersonics, to becoming a fan of the Kings from the time the team played its first season in 1988, Brad wanted nothing more than to pull on a Sydney Kings jersey.
"And that, he did, in 1995, after starring with the Kings development team Sydney SKY (Sydney Kings Youth).
"Thanks to blazing speed, a tireless work ethic and an intensely competitive nature, Brad quickly became a quality backup guard and a fan favourite.

"He even had a group of fans at the old Sydney Entertainment Centre create the ‘Brad Rosen Stand’ and a website dedicated to his exploits, such was his popularity.
"Brad is a very worthy winner of this year's Ring of Honour Award, putting his heart and soul into the club during his time there - I know this honour will mean the world to him."
Rosen will be presented his ring during a special pre-game presentation on Sunday, ahead of the Kings' Heritage Round clash against New Zealand - with tickets to the Qudos Bank Arena fixture still available here.
