In a press conference held earlier this morning, dual Olympian Matthew Dellavedova expressed the importance of the upcoming exhibition matches in the lead up to Tokyo and the sense of urgency throughout the group to take the Boomers to their first Olympic medal.
"It's something you never take for granted, pulling on the green and gold. We've got a great squad together here, it's been a lot of fun getting back training with the boys, making some really good progress so far, so looking forward to the games getting started tomorrow. " Dellavedova said.
"We got together in LA for that week, which was really important to incorporate the younger guys and new faces, get familiar with them on and off the court. They've brought great energy, enthusiasm and fit in great. We've got great chemistry together and we'll learn a lot in these next few games on what we need to tighten up and improve on heading into Tokyo.
"From those first sessions in LA, to here now, everyone understands what the goal is, and that's to win a Gold medal."
