The Sydney Kings are excited to announce the first import signature in former NBA forward Cameron Oliver for the upcoming NBL25 season.
The 27-year-old who boasts a diverse but impressive basketball resume, has agreed to a one- year deal with the purple and gold.
Oliver joins the many signatures made during the NBL free agency period including the marquee signing of Xavier Cooks on a three-year deal.
“I’m most excited to come into a winning/championship organization and keeping that the focus! So obviously that consists of a little bit of everybody from the players to the coaches, to the front office to buy in to one ultimate goal!
“And that’s really exciting and I’m just ready for the journey to get there and achieve everything we all put our mind in to.
“Off court I’m ready to take a big step in my leadership role! My maturity, my love for the game, my passion is going to be on full display, and I think there’s no other place but Sydney that’s going to embrace that and hopefully learn with me as we go.
“The fans are going to love it, I’m excited to see what’s it going to be like".

Oliver has spent significant time between the NBA, NBA G League, The NBL, Europe and Asia, most recently wrapping up a stint with the Zhejiang Lions in China.
Known for his powerful persona on court, Oliver has built himself quite the highlight reel from posterising dunks to being an assertive defensive presence.
Coach Brian Goorjian had Oliver on his radar for quite some time, admiring the athleticism and talent of the Oakland product.
“Cam is a real important piece to this team. The spice of recruitment are the imports. Now that we knew what the Australian content of the team looked like, we wanted a dynamic rim protecting big man, someone who had also played in the league before.
“We had seen him play in the Philippines during a scrimmage with the Boomers and held his own. From then on, he was always somebody we had in mind as we were putting this team together.
“A previous all NBL second team who’s dynamic, athletic who can shoot the ball and score, we see him as a real important signing of this group. He’s a proven competitive product”.
The Kings now have two roster spots remaining, likely to be filled with a remaining import and local player.
