Kings' NBA Summer League wrap (July 17)

While the busy 2023 NBA Summer League schedule is drawing to a close, the strong performances of the Sydney Kings contingent in Las Vegas haven't slowed down.
On day eight, former King Dejan Vasiljevic exploded for 14 points (including 4/5 triples), four rebounds and three assists, in just 11 minutes, as the Wizards defeated Oklahoma City 105-89.
Former King and current Washington forward Xavier Cooks didn't take to the hardwood during this contest.

In the Sixers' 102-91 loss to the Clippers, former King Makur Maker put up six points and six rebounds for Philadelphia.
Later in the day, the Spurs, featuring Matt Nielsen and Fleur McIntyre on the coaching staff, lost 79-73 to Detroit.

Moving onto day nine and it started with the Timberwolves, headlined by Jaylin Galloway and Brian Bowen II, losing 109-92 to Charlotte.
In the loss, Galloway had one assist and Bowen contributed two points and one rebound.
The performance of the day, from a purple and gold perspective, came from DJ Hogg, who tallied 12 points, four rebounds, three assists and one steal in the Raptors' 109-101 victory over Golden State.
July 15 also saw the Wizards return to the court, seeing Vasiljevic put up five points and three boards in their 90-85 defeat at the hands of Chicago - with Cooks once again getting a DNP - coaches decision.

Then on day 10, it started with Maker having five points and four rebounds as Philadelphia downed New Orleans 117-114.
Former Sydney coach Will Weaver and his Brooklyn Nets then missed out on a spot in the big dance, losing their semi-final 102-99 to Cleveland in overtime.
The busy day ended with Nielsen and McIntyre's Spurs outlasting OKC 98-94 - wrapping up the Kings involvement in the 2023 Thomas and Mack Centre event.
The Rockets and Cavaliers will contest the 2023 grand final tomorrow.
