The Junub Foundation, with the support of Hoops Capital, is excited to announce it will be hosting a basketball clinic in Canberra this August.
Set to be hosted on Saturday, August 30 at Radford College from 11am to 2pm, the clinic will give Canberra's aspiring hoopers a chance to learn from a number of the top South Sudanese basketballers in the world, including Kings' trio Bul Kuol, Kouat Noi and Makuach Maluach.

Joining this trio at the camp, which will coincide with the 2025 NBL Blitz in the nation's capital, will be Perth's Lat Mayan and Sunday Dech, Illawarra's Wani Swaka Lo Buluk and Tasmania's Majok Deng.
“The purpose behind the clinic is to unite the community, allowing them to connect, dance, eat, play and celebrate together,” said Bul Kuol.
“Obviously, the priority of the clinics is the kids, but I’d love for parents, especially mothers who shoulder a lot of the weight to raise us and sacrificed so much, to get involved and help us inspire the next generation of basketball stars.
“An opportunity like this, where young South Sudanese kids and the youth of Canberra get a chance to learn from the best players in the NBL, is incredible and something that wasn’t on offer when I was young.
“At the end of the day, it’s a village and we’re all here for one another.”
This unique opportunity is just one of the numerous events the Junub Foundation has planned in the future.

“The Junub Foundation will begin by serving the youth in Canberra, with its purpose being to empower the youth, parents and community by bridging the financial, educational, and social gaps, through sports, education, cultural events, and community engagement,” said King #248 Kuol, who represented South Sudan at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
“It will serve as a foundation that will foster confident integration and meaningful participation in broader Australian society, so young people and parents get the opportunities to learn and partake in the pathways to growth and development.”
