Galloway to use Summer League experience as NBL springboard

All signs are pointing towards a breakout campaign on the court for Sydney King Jaylion Galloway, after his maiden NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
While his minutes were limited on the court, the 20-year-old took plenty away from the July 7-17 tournament - including scoring his first basket against the Utah Jazz.

"[Heading over there] I wasn’t really going in expecting anything - it was really just a learning experience for me and taking in all the information I could," the two-time NBL champion said.
"Was a little nervous when they called my name but once I got on the court all the nerves went away and I just played my game."

The Townsville product is confident he can use that experience to have his best season yet with the Hoops Capital club, while also pushing on for higher honours.
"I felt like this tournament helped me to be more physical and improve my on-ball defence," said Galloway, who received two NBL1 North awards earlier this week.
"[This experience] has definitely made me want to strive to play in the NBA - that is the ultimate goal."
