The Sydney Kings and Flames are excited to launch their For The Capital series, which gives fans the chance to go behind the scenes with our stars and their amazing stories.
As part of the off-season content series, each Monday, the Hoops Capital club names its Kings and Flames Players of the Week from the NBL1 competition - complemented with a full online report.

Then on Friday, it promotes when and where each of their stars are playing that weekend in the NBL1 competition.
The final and most in-depth part of the project is the 'For The Capital: Sydney's off-season diaries' docu-series, led by the club's social media manager Summah Johnson - who believes these regular episodes allow fans to become even more connected to their favourite players and coaches.
"I wanted to create a series that showcases our athletes as people, strip back the name, the club and the perception of who they are and create a space where these athletes can voice who they actually are, the why behind their basketball journey and the ups and downs that come with it," said Johnson, who is working on the project alongside media manager Courtney Ward.
"There is no easy road with any professional sport, and there are always stories and areas people don’t see, and this series exemplifies what each of these individuals believe and what their values are and things that make them push to be who they want to be."

The first two of these in-depth features will concentrate on the journeys of Flame #228 Bonnie Deas and King #252 Tyler Robertson, which are both slated to be published in June.
"Having common ground is the number one impact on people's perceptions of one another," Johnson said.
"Showing that they [the players/coaches] are in this privileged position of elite sport and have separate lives outside of basketball, is crucial in creating that deep connection with our members and fans, as I'm sure many have gone through similar experiences in their own lives.
"We have great athletes but even greater people in our teams, and having the ability to strip back the athlete and reveal their true selves and what their capable of off the court, is something I’m really proud to create."
