Adam Caporn has leaned into youth for his first window as head coach and will take a team with an average age of 23.8 to Saudi Arabia.
“We couldn’t be more excited about this group representing Australia and the dedication they’ve shown to the Boomers program,” said Caporn, whose squad has been training on the Gold Coast this week.
“It’s been a strong competitive start to camp, and we feel we’re building something special from these early foundations.”
The first challenge for the FIBA Asia Cup will be against the University of Colorado Buffaloes at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre on Thursday night.
From there they will head to Jeddah with the FIBA Asia Cup commencing against Korea on Wednesday, August 6.
