Brydens Lawyers Sydney Kings' Dejan Vasiljevic (achilles), Makur Maker (ankle) and Jordan Hunter (finger) will not be taking the court at the NBL Blitz pre-season games in Melbourne due to injury. Matur Maker (knee) will sit tomorrow’s game against South East Melbourne.
Vasiljevic has progressed well with his rehabilitation following the successful repair of his Achilles tendon in April of last season. He is in the final stages of his rehab plan and is reintegrating into team training over the next month. Although his will miss the start of the NBL22 season, the Club expects DJ will return to the line-up before the New Year.
NBL Next Star Makur Maker will miss the upcoming three Blitz games in Melbourne while recovering from a low-grade ankle sprain sustained in practice. The club is confident MK will make a quick return to the court, with a confirmed debut be announced in two weeks time.
Hunter sustained a fracture to his finger during training earlier this week. Jordan’s return to play date is yet to be determined; further updates will be provided in the coming weeks.
Matur Maker had a collision at training Thursday and will sit tomorrow's game with knee soreness.
Jayden Hodgson travelled with the team to Melbourne and will be added to the Kings squad for the NBL Blitz.
