The NBL has today announced the tip-off times for the first five rounds of the 2020-21 Hungry Jack’s NBL season. A total of 39 games will be played over the first 37 days of the season in front of fans across Australia.
After what has been a long off-season for hoops fans, the Brydens Lawyers Sydney Kings will begin their season with a Grand Final re-match against the Perth Wildcats at RAC Arena on January 15.
More importantly, the Kings will welcome back their loyal fans and members to Qudos Bank Arena for their first home game on Sunday the 24th of January against the Skysport NZ Breakers.

Sydney Kings CEO Chris Pongrass said: “Basketball is back in the Hoops Capital, and Kings fans I hope you are ready! We are excited to be welcoming you back to Qudos Bank Arena as we look to compete for a Championship once again. Retaining eight players from last year’s Minor Premiership squad, and three key new additions, we are going to be in the mix this season.”
“With a portion of the long-awaited schedule now announced, membership has never been more important. Membership prices have been heavily discounted, especially when compared to our projected single game ticket price this year. Coupled with the capacity restrictions and COVID protocols, the only way to secure your seats right now is through becoming a member” Pongrass added.
“Your safety and wellbeing is our priority - but rest assured that the Kings, the NBL and QBA are doing all we can to ensure a safe and enjoyable gameday experience”.
Due to NSW Health regulations, crowd limits, adjusted seating plans, and conditions of entry, will be in place at Qudos Bank Arena to ensure social distancing and COVID safe protocols are adhered to. These changes and details will be communicated in January as we await further changes.
“Yesterday the NSW State Government announced a further easing of restrictions to 75% capacity for indoor stadiums. We welcome this decision which will ensure even more Kings fans will be able to attend games and push the team to victory” Pongrass said.
Crowd restrictions are continually changing, and while we will continue to adapt and remain flexible, it’s important to remind all fans that becoming a Kings member is the only way to guarantee access to the best tickets, particularly for our first four home games of the season which have now been released.
Not only is the only way to guarantee your seat, but membership prices have been slashed from last season so now is the perfect time to get show your commitment to the Club and jump on board for the season.

The Kings have already surpassed last season’s total full season members which is a testament to the incredible loyalty and support we receive from Sydney fans. We certainly would not be the successful Club that we are without their ongoing support from the stands. Full season and 7-game memberships can be purchased here.
Don’t forget, memberships are fully transferrable if you are unable to make it to every game you can give to a mate, otherwise we also have part-season packages available.
With the first part of our draw now released, our membership team has also begun working with the other clubs to secure an allocation of seats at away games. Once this is confirmed, we will be able to go on-sale with Interstate Membership options for our non-Sydney based fans.
We know that Kings fans have been eagerly waiting for basketball to return to Sydney and we look forward to welcoming you back to Qudos Bank Arena starting with our pre-season game against the Hawks this Sunday, December 20. Tickets are available here.
Start times for regular season games will be confirmed in the coming weeks. All games will be broadcast live on SBS and ESPN.
