Sydney Kings coach Brian Goorjian is looking forward to this year's NBL Blitz, as it presents his side a chance to continue to grow as a group leading into the 2024-25 season.
After weeks of solid pre-season training and a strong trial game win against the New Zealand Breakers on August 30, coach Goorjian is expecting his team to continue its upward trajectory during their three matches on the Gold Coast.
"Playing those games against New Zealand over the weekend were really beneficial for us," Goorjian said.

"We've been going hard at training for a few weeks now with this new group and the missing element was some actual games, which those matches against the Breakers provided and the three upcoming Blitz games will do.
"These games show us what works for us both offensively and defensively but also from a line-up and combination perspective while allowing us a chance to make adjustments before the season tips off.
"For most of this group, it's a new system but they've all embraced it and we're confident that it will continue to grow and of where we can take this thing.
"Each day presents a chance to get better and I'm excited to see us continue moving forward as a group on the Gold Coast."
The first of those matches will be against the Cairns Taipans on Monday, September 9 - tipping off at 7.30pm AEST at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre.
Two days later, the Hoops Capital side will then lock horns with South East Melbourne before wrapping up their pre-season fixtures with another game against the Breakers.
The Kings' first home game of NBL25 is on Sunday, September 25 against the Illawarra Hawks - tipping off at 2.15pm AEST.
Tickets for the Qudos Bank Arena showdown, between the two Adrian Hurley Cup rivals, are still available here.
