"This is an occasion that no Sydney hoops fan will want to miss."

The Sydney Kings are expecting a huge crowd at the NBL24 home opener on Sunday for the club's round two clash with Adelaide.

Not only will it be the first time Kings fans will watch Mahmoud Abdelfattah's team in person but it will also be the club's special banner day, where the Hoops Capital side will unveil its fifth NBL championship banner (from 3.45pm).

As well as that, all the players will be presented with their NBL23 championship rings - highlighting why Sunday will be such a special afternoon at Qudos Bank Arena.

"Last season's banner night was special for all involved and our whole club is thoroughly looking forward to doing it all again on Sunday afternoon," said Hoops Capital executive director Paul Kind - who has urged fans to arrive early to avoid the queues.

"Moments like this allow us to reflect on how special our championship run was, capped off by that incredible game five win against New Zealand.

"To me, this is an occasion that no Sydney hoops fan will want to miss.

"All signs are pointing to this season being the largest in the Kings' history and we can't wait to get it all started with our loyal members and fans on Sunday, in what is shaping up as a massive crowd."

Fans are encouraged to arrive early on Sunday, with the banner unveiling starting at 3.45pm before the round two fixture gets underway at 4pm.
