At the end of a long and successful season, the Brydens Lawyers Sydney Kings would like to thank all our volunteers for all their hard work and their passion for our club.
Behind the scenes there are countless game day staff who are volunteers for the Kings, working all kinds of hours during the NBL season.
Every single one has played a part in helping the club win our first championship for 17 years.
Behind the scenes there are staff and volunteers who help the Kings bring the best game day experience in the NBL. From operations, hospitality, arena management and on-court assistance, the work done by passionate fans is the reason the Kings are NBL champions this season.
Kings media spoke with Amanda Bradley, who has been a volunteer for the Kings since 2014.
Her primary role is assisting hospitality with the premium seating at our home games but said “I help out wherever I’m needed.”
Bradley said that the reason she volunteers for the club is because of her love of basketball and being able to interact with like-minded fans.
When asked what it meant to have the Kings win and be a part of the championship team, Bradley explained her own and her family’s pride for the club.
“I feel a huge amount of pride for the team and for the fans who have stayed with the Kings through the ups and downs and have finally been rewarded for that devotion,” she said.
“My son is 17 so has been waiting his whole life for this and he was so happy to be there when it happened.
“For myself, I am just happy to have helped in my very small way to make this season such a huge success.”
Kings CEO Chris Pongrass said volunteers are the life blood of any sports team, local or professional and the Kings thank all our volunteers for this season.
“As we’ve said all along, it has taken a kingdom to win this championship,” he said.
“The work that our volunteers do for our club does not go unnoticed and we can’t thank each and every one of them enough for what they contribute to our organisation.
“This championship is as much for them as it is for anyone. They are true royalty.”
