Kings thank two-time NBL champion Hunter

On the back of the news he's signed a three-year deal with the South East Melbourne Phoenix, the Sydney Kings would like to thank Jordi Hunter for his amazing service to the club.
During his time at the Hoops Capital, Norths Bears junior Hunter made 115 appearances in the purple and gold, while helping them win back-to-back titles in NBL22 and NBL23.
Kings CEO Chris Pongrass thanked Hunter for all his done for the club during his five seasons in the harbour city.

“Jordi was an unbelievable ambassador of the club for five seasons," Pongrass said.
"His growth, not only as a player but as a person and a leader, has been truly wholesome to be part of.
"His unique quirkiness brought comfort to everyone around him.
"To now watch him excel and reach his potential on the court is what we strive for.
"Jordi’s ambitions to play internationally are completely warranted - he is playing the best basketball of his career.
"There was a strong desire for Jordi to return to the Kings, but ultimately the flexibility and timing of the international outs were too unpredictable for us.
"The risk of potentially losing such a key piece late in the game was the biggest hurdle when building this year's team.
"We just want the best for Jordi and are excited for what is ahead for him.
"He embodied everything it means to be a Sydney King and will be sorely missed by our staff, players, members and fans.
"Thank you Jordi, Ali and the entire Hunter family - we know it won’t be the last time you wear a Kings jersey."

The departing Sydney-born centre is appreciative of all the Kings staff, members and fans, and thanks them all for their time together.
"I probably haven’t had time enough to reflect on it all just yet - it hasn’t quite sunk in I’m not going back," said Hunter.
"My immediate feeling is immense gratitude - I spent every day with such great people with whom I’ve made beautiful memories on and off the court.
"I will forever be indebted to the club for plucking me out of college and continuing to believe in me through five exciting seasons.
"There are too many people to thank and I will speak to them in a different forum, but a general thank you to the Kings organisation is in order.
"I have been afforded the opportunity to see what is out there and that is all thanks to the Kings.
"To the wonderful fans and loyal members, thank you for your tireless support.
"Sydney will always be my home and your love for the city and the team means the world to me.
"I will see you again before you’ve noticed I’ve gone."
