Off the back of arguably their biggest win of the season in Tasmania, the Sydney Kings will once again hit the road in round 12 - this time travelling to New Zealand to face the Breakers.
This Friday, December 22 clash presents Mahmoud Abdelfattah's side a chance to solidify second spot on the ladder - ahead of the club's Christmas night showdown with the Hawks.
"Last Sunday was a great lesson in the power of 40 minutes’ worth of defensive tenacity," said Kings' big man Jordi Hunter - whose side previously defeated the Breakers 87-85 on November 5.
"Seeing what we’re capable of on that end of the floor is going to go a long way in upcoming fixtures.

"[In saying that] New Zealand will be another enormous challenge - we’ll have to take our level of focus and physicality from Tasmania into this game if we want the result to go our way.
"[To do that, we'll need to produce] forty minutes of basketball on both sides of the floor and play together offensively and defensively,"
This fixture will also mark the first time the two-time defending champions will have returned to Spark Arena since the grand final series,
"We obviously have some fond memories in their building but it’s still their building," King #210 said.
"For the guys who were there, hopefully, there’s a level of comfort in Spark Arena, but ultimately there are a lot of new faces on both teams and results in last year’s grand final won’t count for much."

The Norths Bears junior knows how important a win would be for the Hoops Capital side, ahead of a home-heavy schedule during the summer school holidays.
"The holiday period can make or break teams," the St Marys alum said.
"We want to keep building momentum into our upcoming homestand, and that starts with a win against New Zealand."
Friday's fixture tips off at 5.30pm AEDT and will be broadcast on ESPN via Kayo Sports.
