There is officially a new benchmark in terms of attendance in the NBL after the Sydney Kings shattered the previous crowd mark during Friday night's Championship Series game three victory against New Zealand.
The Kings broke their own record of 17,541, set in 2019 against the LaMelo Ball-led Illawarra Hawks, by officially selling out Qudos Bank Arena, to the tune of 18, 049 fans, for the Friday, March 10 Grand Final showdown.

This crowd sees the Hoops Capital club now hold the four biggest attendance marks in NBL history, while also becoming the competition's biggest crowd to watch a Playoff and Grand Final fixture.
Further to that, this caps what has been a massive season for the harbour city side at Qudos Bank Arena, with it setting new franchise marks in terms of total fans through the door in one season but also average attendance - thanks to Chase Buford's side attracting five of the club's top-10 crowd marks during the NBL23 campaign.

"We're extremely proud to have once again broken the NBL's all-time crowd record," said Hoops Capital CEO Sean Nicholls.
"The game marks the first time we've been able to put the 'sold out' sign up since moving to Qudos Bank Arena - with it also representing the biggest corporate hospitality sales in franchise history.
"The whole club, both on and off the court, has worked extremely hard this season and this kind of crowd is a reward for everyone's dedication."
The Kings, who now lead the Championship Series 2-1, now travel to Auckland's Spark Arena for the pivotal game four on Sunday, where they'll aim to secure their second straight NBL title.
The game tips off at 4pm AEDT and will be broadcast on ESPN via Kayo Sports.
