The Sydney Kings are tipping off the 2024 season in Western Australia as part of the inaugural HoopsFest Perth, locking horns with Adelaide at RAC Arena on Sunday, September 22.
The Hoops Capital side will then follow this up with a round two showdown with the hometown Perth Wildcats at RAC Arena on Friday, September 27.

Adding to the basketball fun in Perth will be the Sydney Flames, who take on both the hometown Lynx (Thursday, September 19) and Adelaide Lighting (Friday, September 20) in pre-season games - as part of the first-ever HoopsFest.
During this Western Australia hoops extravaganza, the club would love for you to be part of the journey.
“With two Sydney Kings games and two Sydney Flames games in Perth over a one-week period, there has never been a better time for a hoops fan to visit Western Australia," said Hoops Capital's chief marketing officer Michael Johnstone.
"How good a week would it be to be there to see four Kings and Flames games interspersed with everything there is to do in Western Australia."
Kings fans, are you thinking about joining us in Western Australia and potentially extending your trip?
If so, check out these awesome spots and make your trip one to remember:

Perth City
Situated on the banks of the Swan River (Derbarl Yerrigan), Perth (Boorloo) offers adventures for everyone.
Enjoy unique wildlife encounters and wine country but also a thriving metropolis of small bars, restaurants, and curated cultural experiences.
Soak up the springtime sun at any of the 19 stunning beaches within easy reach of the city and feel the thrill of Optus Stadium’s Halo Rooftop Walk or Matagarup Zip+Climb.
Fremantle
Fremantle (Walyalup), or ‘Freo’ as the locals call it, is Perth’s port city, situated where the Swan River meets the Indian Ocean.
Just a 30-minute drive or train from Perth City, it’s bursting with vibrancy, colour and quirky culture.
It’s not just art galleries, pubs and cafés that are sprinkled throughout this bohemian town — the bustling Fremantle Markets (still going strong after 100 years) and one of Australia’s first micro-breweries, Little Creatures, are there too.
Dig into fresh seafood harbourside and enjoy a cocktail on the beach as you watch an Indian Ocean sunset.

Rottnest Island
Spring is a great season to visit Rottnest Island (Wadjemup) — or ‘Rotto’ as it’s affectionately known.
This little pocket of paradise is jam-packed with adventure, and getting to this car-free, the protected nature reserve is easy: take a short ferry ride from the mainland or arrive in style by helicopter or aeroplane.
You’ll be greeted by 63 stunning beaches, 20 beautiful bays, spectacular marine life, and the world’s happiest animal, the adorable quokka.
Margaret River region
Journey through more than 150 wine producers and 100 cellar doors, where the forest meets the ocean and where friendly, passionate locals welcome you in — and it’s all just 2.5-hours drive south of Perth.
Winemakers, farmers, surfers and creatives have congregated here in Wardandi Noongar Country, inspired by nature's beauty.
Add in fine restaurants, distilleries, art galleries and an abundance of fresh produce from beef and venison to chocolate and cheese, and it’s easy to see why the Margaret River Region is a dream destination.
We’ll see you in the West, Kings fans!
