Brydens Lawyers Sydney Kings development player Jaylin Galloway has been selected for the Boomers squad in the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers in Okinawa, Japan. The Qualifiers will take place later this month.
Galloway will be coached by Rob Beveridge and will play alongside Olympic bronze medallist Nick Kay in the qualifiers against Japan and the Chinese Taipei from February 25-28th in three games.
Galloway has appeared in eight games this season for the Kings and has previously played for Australia in the 2021 FIBA U19 World Cup with the Emu’s.
Kings CEO Chris Pongrass said he is thrilled for Galloway to make the squad and is well-deserving of the selection.
“Jaylin has been great for us and has been improving daily,” Pongrass said.
“We are thrilled for him to represent Australia and learn from this experience under coach Beveridge. It is a dream come true for any player to represent their country and we could not be happier for him.”
The final team announcement will be announced later in the month.
