Brydens Lawyers Sydney Kings development player Jaylin Galloway has been selected for the final 12 players that will head to Okinawa, Japan later this month for the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.
The Boomers will take on the Chinese Taipei and Japan in the qualifiers and will be led by head coach Rob Beveridge.
“We are really pleased with the final team of 12 that we have selected,” Beveridge said.
“We have a blend of players that have international playing experience as well as a group of up and coming players with huge potential.”
Kings CEO Chris Pongrass is excited for Galloway to get this experience with the Boomers in the coming tournament.
“We were happy for Jaylin when he made the 16 players considered for the Boomers, but now seeing him get into the 12 that will travel to Japan is huge for him,” he said.
“We’ll be a couple of men short with Tommy playing for New Zealand as well, but we can’t wait to watch our Kings on the global stage.”
Former Kings player Craig Moller joins Galloway on the Boomers team headed to Japan.
Galloway will miss the Kings’ away game against the Adelaide 36ers due to his national team commitments.
