Hoops Capital is proud to announce we will recognise the contributions of Lauren Jackson to NSW basketball during the Sydney Flames' final home game of the season.
During the round 14 fixture against the Southside Flyers on Sunday, February 18, the Hoops Capital club has decided to shift their game from Quaycentre to Qudos Bank Arena (with the game time now also being 2.45pm AEDT) to allow more basketball fans to attend what could be Jackson's last professional game in Sydney.
"Lauren is an incredible athlete and the greatest Australian basketball player to date," said Flames president Victoria Denholm.
"She’s had success at every level - and continues to give back and inspire the next generations of Australian basketball players.
“From the Lauren Jackson Sports Centre in Albury to elevating the NBL1 East competition - and continuing to push the next generation to be the best version of themselves”
"We’re excited to have the opportunity to acknowledge her role and contribution to the sport in particular in her home state of NSW."

The Flames hope by doing this, that they will give Jackson - the country's greatest-ever basketballer - the recognition she fittingly deserves, hopefully in front of the WNBL's largest crowd.
To do so, it would need to eclipse 7,681 fans, who coincidentally watched the Flames defeat Southside at John Cairna Arena on February 4, 2023.
"We are the Hoops Capital and we want to give basketball fans the opportunity to show up and beat the record set in Melbourne last season," Denholm said.
"It’s going to be an incredible game and a season-defining match for the Flames."
Tickets for the can't be missed clash, which will start from $10 and $25 for families, will go on sale to the general public from 12pm Wednesday here.
Flames members, please keep an eye on your email inbox for pre-sale details.
