Hoops Capital off-season wrap (May 12)

Round six of the 2025 NBL1 East was a massive one for Hoops Capital's stars, with numerous shining for their respective teams.
Firstly, in his Bankstown Bruins debut, King #223 Jaylin Galloway posted a massive 37 points, 13 rebounds, four steals, three assists and two blocks in his side's 107-87 triumph over Albury.
The 4-4 Bruins next play Hills on Saturday.
Not to be outdone was King #237 Kouat Noi, who dropped 40 points (including four triples), five rebounds, two assists and two steals in Sutherland's 103-74 triumph over Newcastle.
King #253 Jason Spurgin also balled out for the Sharks, who are coached by Shaun Roger, tallying 21 points, 11 boards, six assists, three steals and two blocks.
Sutherland, who sits in second with a 6-1 record, plays Sydney and Manly this weekend.
Elsewhere in the East, King #245 Klairus Amir helped Central Coast edge Inner West 97-81 on Saturday, with the wing adding nine points, three boards and two dimes.
Amir followed this up with a big performance against Maitland, tallying 25 points (including four triples), five boards and one dime, as the Crusaders edged Maitland 91-83.
The Crusaders travel to Albury on Saturday.
Shifting to the Flames and the Norths Bears, coached by Renae Garlepp, made it eight straight wins to start the 2025 season, downing Penrith 94-77.
Carla Pitman nearly triple-doubled (14 points, 10 assists and nine boards) with two steals, while Caitlyn Martin produced 14 points, eight dimes and one rebound.
The Bears host the Centre of Excellence next round.

While Piper Anderson posted 11 points, two rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block for the Comets in their 63-41 loss to Manly.
Sydney will look to rebound against Sutherland in round seven.
Finally, in the East, Flames' Tahlia Tupaea (seven points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block) guided Inner West to an 89-74 win over Central Coast.
Tupaea backed that up with 21 points, four rebounds and six dimes, as the Bulls lost a close one 83-77 to the COE.
The Bulls will look to rebound against Tupaea's former team Penrith on Saturday.
Moving to the South conference and Tyler Robertson's 16 points, five rebounds, four dimes, and two blocks wasn't enough for Casey, who lost 93-91 to Mount Gambier.
Robertson's outfit rebounded against Waverley on Sunday, downing their rivals 95-90, behind 22 points, eight boards, two steals and one dime from the Kings guard.
The Cavaliers travel to Frankston next round.
One that stood out for Mount Gambier was Flame #225 Isabella Brancatisano, who put up 20 points, 18 rebounds, three assists, three steals and one block in their huge 79-54 win over Casey.
The Pioneers host Geelong in round seven.
To NBL1 North and Makuach Maluach (28 points, four rebounds and three dimes) helped Mackay edge Townsville 102-100 in round two.
The 2-0 Meteors play Sunshine Coast and Northside in round three.
Flame #212 Tiana Mangakahia continued her remarkable comeback, posting 22 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals in Southern Districts' 88-54 victory over Brisbane.
The Spartans host Northside next weekend.
