Hoops Capital off-season wrap (June 16)

After a break for some of the NBL1 conferences last weekend, there was a full complement of teams hitting the hardwood across Australia this round.
One particular standout was Sydney Kings' Jaylin Galloway, who produced 32 points (including seven triples), eight rebounds, seven assists, three steals and one block for Bankstown, in their high-scoring loss to Illawarra 112-100.
Galloway's Bruins, who are now 6-8, have the bye in round 11 before playing Hills and Maitland the following week.
Elsewhere, Sutherland, coached by Shaun Roger, defeated Maitland 87-75 to solidify their spot in the NBL1 East top five.
Leading the way for the Sharks were Kouat Noi (21 points, five rebounds and four assists) and Jason Spurgin (13 points, six boards, one assist and one steal).
Next up for the Sharks are Hills on Saturday.

Shifting to the Flames, Piper Anderson went off for the Comets in their 93-85 victory over Inner West.
Flame #230 put up 27 points (including three triples), five rebounds and three dimes.
The Comets, who are 6-7 on the season, next face the Bandits in Albury.
On the topic of Albury, the Norths Bears, coached by Renae Garlepp, went down to the Bandits 70-63 in round 10.
In the loss, Carla Pitman had six points, 12 rebounds, six dimes and one block, while Caitlyn Martin tallied 12 points, four boards, three assists and one steal.
The Bears will look to rebound on Saturday when they host Newcastle.
Moving to NBL1 South, Tyler Robertson and his Casey Cavaliers downed North West Tasmania 102-82 in round 10.
In the victory, King #252 contributed 13 points, three rebounds, four dimes and two steals.
The Cavaliers, who are 9-5, next face Ringwood.

At Knox, Keli Leaupepe's Raiders lost to Melbourne 85-78 despite eight points, four rebounds and one steal.
King #249 Leaupepe missed his Knox side's second game of the round, where they edged 106-105 in overtime.
The first-placed Raiders, who are 13-2, next travel to Tasmania to face the Chargers and Thunder.
Staying with Knox and Flames recruit Agnes Emma-Nnopu totalled 14 points, 17 rebounds, four dimes, two steals and three blocks across wins against Melbourne (68-64) and Mount Gambier (81-51).
Her Raiders, who are third with a 12-3 record, also play Hobart and Launceston next weekend.
Elsewhere in the South, Flame #228 Bonnie Deas made her return to the court during Frankston's 106- 80 triumph over Waverley, with the Arkansas commit adding six points, one assist and one steal in the win.
The 9-6 Blues travel to Ballarat on Saturday.
The last Hoops Capital athlete in action in the South was Flame #224 Shaneice Swain, whose Nunawading Spectres lost 87-75 to Ballarat, despite 18 points, six rebounds and four assists from the Cairns product.
Next up for the 6-8 Spectres are the Bendigo Braves.

In the North, Mackay Meteors outlasted South West Metro 95-89 despite playing without Makuach Maluach.
The Meteors, who are 5-2 through the first seven rounds, lock horns with Brisbane and Southern Districts next weekend.
Finally, out west, Emma Clarke had 10 points, seven boards, one steal and one block as East Perth went down 92-84 to Willeton.
The Eagles, who are in fourth with a 7-4 record, will look to bounce back next round against Perth and Cockburn.
