The weekend's NBL1 action saw both the East and South Conferences transition into finals hoops.
With that extra pressure, there was extra responsibility and the club's Kings and Flames players rose to the occasion.
In particular, King #253 Jason Spurgin produced one of his best games of the season in Sutherland's 89-84 elimination final at Bankstown.
The Kings big man tallied 28 points (including four triples), 11 rebounds and two blocks in the win, while Kings teammate Kouat Noi added 12 points, six boards, three steals and one dime in the victory.
The Sharks, coached by Shaun Roger, now face Sydney in Saturday's semi-final from 7.30pm AEST.
The other King in that fixture was Jaylin Galloway, who put up 24 points, 10 boards, one assist, one steal and one block in the defeat.
Elsewhere in the East, the Norths Bears, coached by Renae Garlepp, defeated reigning champions Newcastle 77-67 in their qualifying final.
In the triumph, Caitlyn Martin tallied 10 points, three assists, three steals and one rebound, while Carla Pitman had nine points, five boards, four dimes and one steal.

The Bears now have the weekend off before hosting a grand final qualifier on Saturday, August 9, against the winner of Albury and the Centre of Excellence.
Moving to the South, and both Keli Leaupepe and Agnes Emma-Nnopa enjoyed wins with their respective Knox teams.
Leaupepe produced 16 points, seven rebounds, three dimes and one block in the Raiders' 72-67 win against Eltham, while Emma-Nnopu totalled five points, five boards and one assist in her side's 65-62 victory over Dandenong.
Both sides now progress to their respective grand final qualifiers on August 9.
Staying in the South and Lara McSpadden's 12 points, seven boards, three steals, one dime and one block helped Diamond Valley edge Frankston 87-81 on Saturday's elimination final.
The Eagles will now take on Dandenong in Saturday's semi-final.
Finally, in the North, who were playing their final round of the regular season, Hoops Capital had a trio of stars who all shone.
King #243 Makuach Maluach contributed 29 points, six boards and three steals, but it wasn't enough, as Mackay lost 102-94 to Rockhampton.
