The NBL1 finals action stepped up a notch over the weekend, with numerous Hoops Capital stars shining for their respective teams.
In NBL1 East, Sutherland fought back to defeat Sydney 72-66 in Saturday's semi-final at Comets Stadium.
In the win by the Sharks, who are coached by Shaun Roger, King #253 Jason Spurgin dropped 17 points, nine rebounds, one assist and one block.
Sutherland, who were without King #237 Kouat Noi (who was recently announced to finish fifth in NBL1 East's MVP voting) last weekend, now travel to Canberra for Saturday's preliminary final against the Gunners - tipping off at 7.30pm AEST.

Shifting north and Unique Thompson dominated for Mackay in their 92-89 quarter-final win over Sunshine Coast on Friday.
The Flames recruit tallied 30 points, 13 boards, one dime and one block, to keep the Meteorettes' season alive.
Mackay will now travel to Rowland Cowan Stadium on Saturday to play South Districts.
Unfortunately, Makuach Maluach's Mackey Meteors weren't as successful, losing 108-96 on Saturday.
In the defeat, King #243 Maluach tallied 17 points, eight boards, five steals and four dimes.

In the South, Flame #172 Lara McSpadden put up 17 points, six boards, four dimes, three steals and two blocks in Diamond Valley's 82-73 victory over Dandenong.
The Eagles will now travel to Geelong on Saturday for their preliminary final.
Other Hoops Capital individuals who will be in action in the coming weekend are Norths trio Renae Garlepp, Carla Pitman and Caitlyn Martin (who host the Centre of Excellence on Saturday), Knox pair Keli Leaupepe and Agnes Emma-Nnopu - who play Melbourne and Keilor respectively - and Logan's Mikhaela Cann, who plays Cairns for a spot in the decider.
