Ticket sales opening record

Tickets sales have broken all previous records when they opened on Thursday.
Ticket sales for the Brydens Lawyers Sydney Kings and Brydens Sydney Uni Flames games at the Qudos Bank Arena sold double the previous season record, including Andrew Bogut’s debut season with the Kings in 2018-19.
“It’s more than encouraging to see that basketball fans are clearly ready to get back to the game they love,” Kings and Flames owner and chairman Paul Smith said.
“The last 18 months created so much doubt and uncertainty, to be able to return to live sport in December provides so much reassurance.”

Smith promised fans would get their money’s worth from Qudos Bank Arena this summer.
"We promise to make the Hoops Capital game day experience the best in Australia, whether it’s a Kings and Flames double header, or a Kings standalone game,” he said.
“You can be assured of great basketball, a great environment and a great time with family and friends.
“Thank you to the people of the great city of Sydney, the Hoops Capital.”

Ticket sales were particularly strong for the season opening double header on December 5, where the Flames take on arch rival the UC Capitals and the Kings face the reigning premiers Melbourne United and star NBA recruit Matthew Dellavedova.
The opening of the Freeway series on December 11 against the Kings’ arch rival, the Illawarra Hawks, also saw plenty of interest, and South East Melbourne’s seven-foot Chinese superstar Zhou Qi also ensured ticket sales for the December 18 were also strong.
Membership sales have also been performing well over the last week and are equally on track for record numbers.
