We will celebrate her life and the legacy she built around never missing an opportunity and living life to the fullest; “Cancer does scare me but not living my life to its full potential scares me even more.”
Our most important double header is approaching...get ready for Pink Hoops!
This year on Sunday 25 January we will honour the life of the incredible Tiana Mangakahia and the strength she carried throughout her journey. We will celebrate her life and the legacy she built around never missing an opportunity and living life to the fullest; “Cancer does scare me but not living my life to its full potential scares me even more.”
This year’s Pink Hoops will again raise funds for the McGrath Foundation. McGrath Cancer Care nurses provide nursing care and support to people and their families experiencing any type of cancer throughout Australia. A McGrath Cancer Care nurse provided support and help to Tiana during her cancer experience.
Funds will be raised in a number of ways. In a special tribute to Tiana, $2 will be donated by Hoops Capital from every Pink Hoops Double Header ticket sold. The general public can also make donations online through the McGrath Foundation.
Pink Hoops jerseys and a range of other Pink Hoops merchandise will be available to purchase. A proportion of every sale will be donated to the McGrath Foundation. Further fundraising and merchandise information will be provided in due course.
