Kings unveil new coaching staff for NBL24 season

The Sydney Kings will have a new-look staff for the NBL24 season.

Headlined by new head coach Mahmoud Abdelfattah, the Sydney Kings will have a revamped coaching staff at their disposal for NBL24.

Two-time NBL champion Fleur McIntyre has been elevated to Kings' lead assistant Coach while Daniel Kickert has been promoted to second assistant.

Kane Martinez will be a new addition as an assistant coach, who joins the Hoops Capital club from the United States, where he spent time at Fort Lewis College (20129-2020), the University of Nevada, Reno (2020-2022) and the NBA G League's Westchester Knicks (2022-2023).

Angus Henskens returns as the club’s video coordinator.

The basketball department will be supported throughout the season by Toby Banfield (head of performance and medical), Dave Hillard (lead physiotherapist - Zone34), Alice Brown (physiotherapist - Zone34) and Jonny McGailey (team manager - assistant strength and conditioning coach).

The two-time defending champions Kings are ramping up preparations for the NBL24 at the Blitz, where they'll play games against South East Melbourne, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Following those pre-season fixtures, their campaign tips off on Saturday, September 30 at Illawarra before hosting Adelaide on Sunday, October 8 for the club's special banner night.
