Game day guide: Round five vs Cairns Taipans

The first-placed Sydney Kings will be out to avenge their round three loss when they host the Cairns Taipans on Saturday at Qudos Bank Arena.
The third-placed visitors, who are coached by former Kings mentor Adam Forde, are 4-0 on the road in NBL23 but Chase Buford's troops will be out to change that record during the round five clash.Saturday night's showdown represents the last game at Qudos Bank Arena until November 20, due to a New Zealand road trip and the FIBA window - which will see Kings' Xavier Cooks and Dejan Vasiljevic represent Australia - so it's even more important you're there to cheer on the reigning champions.Read Courtney Ward's match preview, featuring Kouat Noi, here.
If you are coming to the game tomorrow make sure you check out Disco Alfresco which is being held in Abattoir Heritage garden (near Olympic Park station, Herb Elliott Ave).
There’ll be vinyl DJ's, live music, dance floors and stage shows, in a glitzy 70’s setting. It's just outside the Kings' office and the set-up looks amazing.
The incredible menu includes New Orleans Shrimp Po' Boy, a classic crispy Cajun fried shrimp French baguette and the famous New Orleans-style soft and pillowy fried doughnuts.
PLUS for older Kings fans one of the DJs is an ex-Sydney King – John Blake who played for the Kings in 1993!
It all starts at 4pm so pop in on your way to the game.
Saturday 29 October Door Open Times:
Members: 6.15pm
General Public: 6.30pm
Lights Out: 7.45pm

Important things to note
- Members' Bar will again be open pre-game. Post-game it will also be open for a members-only player appearance. This week the player appearance will not be a signing session but more of a meet and greet style event. Signing sessions will take place again at other games through the season. Players will be up in the members bar approximately 20 minutes after the completion of the game. Members Bar is located in the same place as last season – Level 1, opposite Door 43.
- The Championship Trophy will be in the foyer and available for photo opportunities from 6.15pm to 8pm
- Cap collection will not be available this week as all available stocks have been distributed. We have ordered more caps and they will be available in early December. We will advise members of the game when caps will again be available.
Before you arrive check out: Disco Alfresco
- Hosted by Australian-born, award-winning entertainer and performance powerhouse, Brendan De La Hay, the night will feature Queen Bee DJs mixing up some vinyl tunes, Disco Bimbos giving you Saturday night dancing fever and Bridie Doll taking you back in time with her epic Go-Go dancing, finally setting the scene for 'Disco Dance and Soul Train’ dance lessons led by Lulu and Sheena from Sydney Vintage Dance. An amazing menu includes the New Orleans Shrimp Po' Boy, a classic crispy Cajun fried shrimp French baguette, Muffaletta an American-Sicilian favourite showcasing three types of sliced meats from LP’s Quality Meats and the famous New Orleans-style soft and pillowy fried doughnuts.
