Sydney Kings young gun Jaylin Galloway has been rewarded for his breakout NBL24 season by signing a two-year two-way deal with NBA franchise, the Milwaukee Bucks.
As part of his release, Galloway, who was shortlisted for the NBL's Most Improved Award this season, signed a new three-year extension with the Hoops Capital club until the end of NBL27 - allowing the Kings to keep his rights for the next three seasons.
The two-time NBL champion flew out to Milwaukee on Saturday, ahead of his physical and signing his first-ever NBA contract.
"It's all happened so fast - it's crazy and I still can't really believe I've been given this opportunity," said Galloway, who averaged 10.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game this season.
"I know there was some interest with the Bucks after my agent mentioned it a few months ago, but it's only all come to fruition over the last few days - it really hasn't sunk in yet.
"I don't know exactly how to put it into words but I'm super excited and can't wait to get to work."

The 21-year-old is the latest King to go straight from the harbour city club to the NBA, following in the recent footsteps of NBL23 MVP Xavier Cooks, Didi Louzada, Jae’Sean Tate, Andrew Bogut, Brian Bowen, and Makur Maker - as well as assistant coach Fleur McIntyre, who will join the Phoenix Mercury in April.
"I'm forever grateful to the Kings organisation for putting me in this position," said Galloway, who admits he will likely start with the Bucks' G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd, before joining the NBA franchise once their season wraps up at the end of March.
"The Kings were my first professional team, helping me build up my skills, strength and confidence, to ensure I'd ready to compete at the next level - I'll never forget that impact they've made on my career.
"Now the whole process starts again with Milwaukee - I'm ready to prove myself once again and hopefully achieve my dream of stepping onto an NBA court in the near future."

Kings CEO Chris Pongrass is thrilled about the opportunity in front of Townsville-born Galloway.
“We couldn’t be prouder of JG and the opportunity in front of him," Pongrass said.
"The work he has put in to get to this point makes me confident that he will stick.
“It's rare to find a 21-year-old who has already played four years as a pro, including two championships - his growth, both on and off the court during his time in Sydney has been immeasurable.
“While we had high hopes for the role Jaylin would have this year, we are all backing him as he embarks on the next stage of his career.
"He will always have a home here in Sydney.”
