The Hoops Capital’s leading professional women’s and men’s basketball teams, the Brydens Sydney Uni Flames and Brydens Lawyers Sydney Kings, today celebrates a three-year partnership with Australia’s leading managed IT service and solutions provider, EIT Solutions.
Demonstrating a dual unison in support of everyone’s journey no matter how big or small, EIT Solutions and Hoops Capital come together to champion the Flames and Kings, as well as our parent company Hoops Capital.
The announcement marks the fourth all-female sports team EIT Solutions, along with sister agency Sharp Extensive IT (Sharp EIT) has backed in the past 12 months, with Sharp EIT finalising deals with the Collingwood F.C.’s AFL Women’s team, as well as netball teams NSW Swifts and Giants Netball.
Hoops Capital now joins the ranks of CYCA (The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia) responsible for the iconic Sydney to Hobart yacht race, the Australian Turf Club, host of the richest turf race The Tab Everest, the NRL Wests Tigers, and Netball NSW as part of the EIT family.
Mario Bernatovic, Director of EIT Solution and Sharp EIT, said the move to partner with Hoops Capital comes from a long-driven passion for supporting and driving community unification at a local level – one that has become even more reinforced since the introduction of COVID-19.
“Even before I was a Director, I knew I wanted to back sporting teams however I could. For me I’ve always loved the community spirit… watching people who were strangers before a game come together in support of a group of people. It’s something that has always resonated with me, and it’s a comradery and feeling I like to echo internally and throughout my business career,” Bernatovic said.
“When COVID-19 hit it was a real test of character not only for me, but for my team and the companies we work alongside. The entire team at EIT Solutions and Sharp EIT made a conscious effort to concentrate our energies on supporting local communities, local sporting teams, and local businesses, as best we could. I couldn’t be prouder to unify our internal team beliefs with the mantra of Hoops Capital to create a meaningful collaboration.”
Hoops Capital chief executive officer Chris Pongrass said the Kings, Flames and the Hoops Capital organisation were thrilled to have EIT Solutions on board.
“We’re very excited to partner with EIT Solutions and thank them for their commitment to the future of our organisation,” Mr Pongrass said.
“EIT Solutions and its sister agency Sharp EIT is already involved in supporting some of the biggest sporting clubs and organisations in the country and to have them by our side is a testament to our organisation and the significance of Australian basketball more generally.
“We are confident this long-term partnership will deliver positive results for both organisations.”
The new collaboration stems from ongoing discussions between Mr Pongrass and ICT Business Analyst Nirav Dedhia. As part of the collaboration, the EIT Solutions logo will prominently fit on the playing shorts of the Kings and Flames team, and in return provide fully outsourced IT Support and Services, Managed Infrastructure, Cloud Solutions, Business Continuity, telephony, and internet access.
