Australia will be headlined by Sydney Kings duo Xavier Cooks and Jaylin Galloway during their upcoming clash with the University of Colorado on the Gold Coast.
Joining the Kings pair in the squad for the upcoming clash at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre, which looms as an integral part of the process for incoming head coach Adam Caporn, will be Tasmania’s Josh Bannan, Will Magnay and Sean McDonald, South East Melbourne’s Angus Glover and Owen Foxwell, Illawarra’s Will Hickey, Melbourne’s Dash Daniels and St Mary’s Gaels’ Harry Wessels, as well as Jack McVeigh, Reyne Smith (who will line up for Denver at the 2025 NBA Summer League), Jack White (who will line up for Atlanta at the 2025 NBA Summer League) and Ben Henshall - who are all currently unsigned.
Caporn will return to Australia for his first campaign on the sidelines in July, and there is an invaluable opportunity to fire momentum into a talented era for the Boomers program with the Asia Cup in Jeddah ahead.
“I couldn’t be more excited to return to Australia and get on the floor with the staff and playing group,” Caporn said.
“The Asia Cup is a critical first step in building our team and system as we integrate new faces across both the roster and coaching staff.”

The program is embarking with fresh foundations, but there’s familiar DNA with the Washington Wizards assistant coach locking in alongside Dean Vickerman for the CU Buffaloes fixture.
“FIBA preparation windows are extremely short, so we need to hit the ground running from day one of camp,” Caporn said.
“Our departments are already hard at work to ensure we are highly organised and make the most of every minute together.
“We’ll have a good mix of experienced Boomers and players getting their first taste of international tournament play at this level.
“So, we expect the learning curve to be steep and will embrace the opportunity to also grow as a group.”
The fixture will tip-off at 6.40pm on Thursday, July 31.
