Xavier Cooks was issued a one-month period of ineligibility by Sport Integrity Australia on behalf of Basketball Australia, due to an adverse analytical finding from a standard in-competition anti-doping test.
The finding was confirmed to have occurred out of competition and deemed to be unrelated to sport performance.
Cooks’ one-month period of ineligibility commenced on February 7, 2025 and concluded on March 7, 2025.
Hoops Capital has now completed its internal review into the matter and will be working closely with Cooks on a comprehensive wellbeing plan which will support him both on and off the court and assist in his commitment to rebuilding his reputation with our members, fans, sponsors, and community.
We will continue to support Xavier throughout this time and will not be making any further comments.
