During the Kings pre-season game against The Hawks on Sunday at Qudos Bank Arena, Xavier Cooks sustained a right foot injury.
The injury will see him to miss the start of the NBL season, scheduled to tip off on January 15.
His progress and rehabilitation will continue be monitored by the Kings medical staff. A return to play date will be re-evaluated at a future time but at this stage is likely to take three to four months.
The Kings are expecting to sign a replacement player in the short term.
