Waratah League wrap up Round 6

Whilst it’s been a challenging off-season for all hoops fans, the good news is that along with the NBA being back on our screens, many of the leagues around Australia have now been able to resume, including Basketball NSW’s Waratah League.

While it’s been a challenging off-season for all hoops fans, the good news is that along with the NBA being back on our screens many of the leagues around Australia have now been able to resume, including Basketball NSW’s Waratah League.

Some of your favourite current and former Kings have been busy tearing it up to keep fit throughout this period, ready for when NBL21 returns later this year.

For those of you keen to follow along at home you can get your Kings-fix by streaming some of the games online, and if they’re not being streamed, we’ll do our best to bring you all the updates here on the Kings website or via the Club’s social channels.

Round 6 Waratah 1 Men Results

Norths Bears defeated Inner West Bulls, 83 - 67

The Norths Bears roster includes plenty of familiar faces in Jordi Hunter, Tommy Garlepp and Anatole Bose (coached by Ben Knight). The Inner West Bulls roster includes Craig Moller (and Daniel Kickert who didn’t play this week).

Kings young-gun Jordi Hunter dominated the game with 21 points and 17 points in his sides win over the Bulls, while Craig Moller also had an impressive performance knocking down 15 point and grabbing 16 rebounds of his own.

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles defeated Sutherland Sharks, 87 – 68

Despite not being able to take the win, Kings development player Lochie Hutchinson dropped 19 points and 6 rebounds in his outing for the Sharks.
