Sydney Kings assistant coach Billy Tomlinson admits the FIBA break has come at the right time for his Hoops Capital side.
Despite sitting with a 7-6 record, the fact only five of those have been played at Qudos Bank Arena was starting to take its toll on the five-time NBL champions.

"Honestly, we spluttered into the FIBA break [with the loss at Illawarra] but now we get a chance to breathe a little and figure what's been good, what's been bad and needs cleaning up," Kings assistant coach Billy Tomlinson said.
"During that time, us coaches caught up and had some lengthy and sometimes heated discussions, which were honestly really beneficial to us all.

"Fast forward to when we're back on the court and you can already see the benefit of those discussions, as we've cleaned up certain aspects of our play.
"A big part of our season thus far has been the travel and therefore, less chance on the training court to prepare for matches, which takes its toll - especially on quick turn-around double-headers.
"So this stretch of time together on the court will be invaluable to where we want to get to as a team."
Tomlinson's Hoops Capital outfit head to Cairns on Friday, November 29 to face the Taipans from 7.30pm AEDT – live on ESPN.
The harbour city side's next home game is on Sunday, December 15 against Brisbane from 4.15pm AEDT at Qudos Bank Arena.
Tickets to that game are still available here.
