The young forward is looking forward to re-joining the Kings and getting a full pre-season under his belt heading into NBL22.
“I’m really excited to be back with the Kings for another season” Vodanovich said.
“It was a no brainer for me to head back to Sydney and continue building what we started last season. I am really grateful for the opportunity and can’t wait to get back to play in front of those amazing fans at Qudos Bank Arena again”.
“With a new Head Coach coming in, and a healthy roster, I think it’s going to be a fun year for us” Vodanovich said.
Vodanovich joined the Kings after two seasons with the New Zealand Breakers, and coming off an impressive season in the NZNBL where he took out the league’s MVP honours.
He is currently back in New Zealand playing for the Auckland Huskies for the NBL off-season, averaging 18 points, six rebounds and two assists per game in his first two outings.
Kings CEO Chris Pongrass is looking forward to welcoming Vodanovich back as the Club continues putting together the pieces of its roster ahead of the NBL22 season which is expected to tip-off in October.
“Tommy was an important piece for us last season and played a big part in the team’s success” Pongrass said.
“He has proven that he can be a contributor on a competitive team in this league - he is a hard worker, a perimeter threat and great locker room voice for this group. We are thrilled to have him return for another season in the purple and gold”.
Vodanovich joins Jarell Martin, Jordan Hunter, Shaun Bruce, Dejan Vasiljevic, Angus Glover and Biwali Bayles as contracted players for next season with more announcements expected to be made in the coming weeks.
