This Sunday’s pre-season game between the Brydens Lawyers Sydney Kings and The Hawks at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney will now be played behind closed doors at 5pm AEDT.
Following this morning’s press conference, the NSW Government has put all of greater Sydney on notice for impending restrictions following a recent COVID outbreak in the Northern Beaches.
The new health advice also requested that all Sydney residents outside of the Northern Beaches are to limit non-essential activity outside of the home for the next few days.
Given the vast number of regions across NSW that Kings and Hawks fans would be travelling from, the game will no longer be able to be played in front of the public. Ticketek will action refunds to all ticket buyers in the coming days.
The Kings have also rescheduled the game to 5pm AEDT, so as to not conflict with the WNBL Grand Final between the Southside Flyers and Townsville Fire. We encourage all fans to tune in and show their support.
The Kings and Hawks game will be streamed live and free on NBL TV and NBL’s Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Twitch channels.
All players, staff and officials involved have followed strict COVID protocols as per NBL and NSW Government regulations.
