Sydney Kings big man Tim Soares has helped his Brazilian national team record their second win within a week by smashing Mexico 102-56 on Monday in Chihuahua City.
Fresh off downing the United States over the weekend, Soares tallied six points and one assist in 12.41 minutes to help Brazil edge closer to securing their spot at the 2023 FIBA World Cup in Indonesia/Japan/the Philippines.
As well as dominating on the scoreboard, Brazil won the statistical categories of field goal percentage (60-29.4), rebounds (44-30), assists (21-12) and blocks (4-0).
This moves Brazil up to a 7-3 record and second place in Group F - behind only leaders in the United States (8-2).
The final two Americas qualification games, against Puerto Rico and the US, will be played on February 23 and 26 respectively - which will both be played in Brazil.
