"[Achieveing a milestone like this] is all hard work and persistence - a lot of trials and tribulations led to this point."

Sunday's round six fixture with the New Zealand Breakers will be special for Kouat Noi in many ways.

Not only will he proudly celebrate Indigenous Round with his Sydney Kings but he will also chalk up his 100th NBL game.

The first of those 56 matches were played with Cairns before the Newcastle product returned to NSW at the start of the NBL23 season - helping the Hoops Capital club win its fifth NBL title in 2022-23.

"[Achieveing a milestone like this] is all hard work and persistence - a lot of trials and tribulations led to this point," said Noi, who scored 10 points in the Kings' big win against Illawarra on Friday.

"It’s a sign that I’m headed in the right direction in my career."

Through his first 99 games in the NBL, the Texas Christian University alum has averaged 9.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.2 triples per game - while becoming one of the competition's most lethal bench players.

He will look to continue that when his harbour city outfit battles the Breakers, in a replay of last year's grand final.

"We know New Zealand play with toughness, so we have to be the aggressors from the start," he said.

"[If we do that] it will open up a lot of opportunities on both ends for us."

Tickets to the club's Indigenous Round fixture, tipping off at 3.45pm at Qudos Bank Arena, are still available here.
