Two-time NBL championship-winning assistant coach Fleur McIntyre will get to test herself on the world stage after being selected as part of the San Antonio Spurs' 2023 NBA Summer League staff.
The Perth native will be part of the Spurs' coaching staff - led by Sydney Kings Legend Matt Nielsen - in Sacramento (July 3-5) and Las Vegas (July 7-17).
"It's really exciting to be offered the chance to be an international guest coach with an incredible organisation like the San Antonio Spurs," McIntyre said.
"Especially getting to work alongside someone like Nelly [Nielsen] who I've known for years and have always admired as a coach and basketball brain.

"Going into it, I don't have any expectations rather, going in with an open mind and being willing to do whatever task is needed - while listening and learning as much as I possibly can.
"I'm confident that I'll be able to learn plenty of new skills and intangibles from the Spurs that I'll be able to bring back to Sydney and help our great club."

Another aspect McIntyre is excited about is working with the Spurs' number one overall pick and generational talent Victor Wembanyama.
"Unless you've been living under a rock, you've heard about Victor and his potential - so really excited to meet him and watch him work for a short amount of time," McIntyre said.
"Especially being there for his first taste of the NBA - it's an opportunity people all over the world would love to have and for that, I'm super appreciative of everyone at the Spurs organisation."

McIntyre is one of the numerous Kings that will be in Las Vegas for the Summer League, with recruit DJ Hogg teaming up with the Toronto Raptors and young gun Jaylin Galloway set to line up for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Former Kings Xavier Cooks and Dejan Vasiljevic will also be in action at the Thomas and Mack Centre event, lining up for the Washington Wizards - as will Makur Maker (Philadelphia) and Brian Brown II (Minnesota).
