The Sydney Kings are excited to unveil they'll be hosting a three-day regional tour in Newcastle next month - made possible by the club's principal partner, Harvey Norman, and supporting partner, AAMI.
During the August 22-24 regional tour, which will see the Kings solidifying their connection to grassroots basketball in NSW, the Hoops Capital club will partake in numerous activations to promote hoops around the Hunter region.

Hoops Capital executive director Matthew Denholm explained initiatives like this, and the Sydney Flames' Harvey Norman regional tour in 2023, were key in helping basketball continue to grow and thrive in NSW.
“Taking the Sydney Kings on the road gives our fans a chance to see their on-court heroes off the court and in local communities around NSW," Denholm said.
"It was fantastic to take the Sydney Flames to the Hunter region last year and to continue our engagement this year bringing the Sydney Kings continues our commitment to helping connect the grassroots with elite basketball.”

The three-day tour will start with a coaching clinic at the Newcastle Basketball Stadium on Thursday evening, which will give all the Kings and Flames of tomorrow a chance to learn from their heroes - including Newcastle Hunters junior Kouat Noi and fellow NSW products Xavier Cooks, Makuach Maluach, Klairus Amir and Henry Lau.
Following the clinic, from 5-6pm, there will be a 30-minute signing session with the Kings players.
On Friday, the Kings playing group will be visiting two schools in the Hunter region to conduct training and signing sessions.
The roadshow will wrap up with an appearance by the entire Kings squad at the Bennetts Green’s Harvey Norman store, from 10-11am on Saturday morning.

Harvey Norman CEO Katie Page is thrilled to assist in bringing another elite basketball team to the Hunter region in 2024, after the Flames' visit last November.
"The Sydney Kings touring Newcastle in August builds on the success of the Sydney Flames tour last year," Page said.
"This is why Harvey Norman is involved – to support these exceptional teams in their efforts to inspire aspiring players at the grassroots in regional NSW.
"First the women’s team to Wallsend and Charlestown South public schools, now the men’s team to two other schools - combined that is hundreds of young girls and boys from the Newcastle and Hunter region who can see first-hand what is possible with talent and commitment.”
