The Sydney Kings will be without DJ Hogg, Sam Timmins and Jackson Makoi for their NBL24 season-opener against the Illawarra Hawks at the WIN Entertainment Centre on Saturday, September 30.
Hogg will be sidelined due to a shoulder injury he sustained during the pre-season; he will be re-evaluated in three weeks. He will be replaced by Jasper Rentoy.
Timmins will also be reevaluated in three weeks after sustaining a calf strain in practice prior to the NBL Blitz. He will be replaced by Isaac Gattorna.

Makoi is still recovering from knee surgery earlier this year and is expected to return to the court in the middle of the 2023-24 campaign.
In positive injury news, Makuach Maluach, who missed the final NBL Blitz fixture due to concussion protocol, will suit up for Mahmoud Abdelfattah's side.
The Hoops Capital side's opening-round fixture tips off at 8pm AEST and will be broadcast on ESPN via Kayo Sports and Foxtel.
