This is one of 12 categories that will be acknowledged at the 2022 NSW Champions of Sport Ceremony at the International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour on Monday, November 28 - which recognises the state’s highest sports honours over the past 12 months.
"To be nominated in the category of Team of the Year is recognition in itself, so thank you SportNSW," said Kings chairman and co-owner Paul Smith.
"Seventeen years is a long time between NBL championships, and the victory came at a time when basketball is booming in NSW.
