The third Pink Hoops double-header is just around the corner and the Sydney Kings and Flames are ramping up preparations for the Sunday, January 19 event.
For the second straight year, both Sydney clubs will turn Qudos Bank Arena pink, to help raise much-needed funds for the McGrath Foundation.

The heartbeat of this initiative is Flame #212 and current Sydney assistant coach Tiana Mangakahia, who retired in 2023 due to her ongoing battle with breast cancer.
"Pink Hoops is extremely special to me and my family," said Mangakahia, who was the brainchild behind the Flames' Pink Game in WNBL22 which eventually turned into Pink Hoops.
"I am so thankful to be a part of something so important to many women and men out there and grateful to be an advocate for breast cancer and the McGrath Foundation.
"Last year's event was huge and I was so proud of the work and effort the Hoops Capital family put into the day.
"I know we can create an even bigger day this year and I can’t wait to be a part of it."
The design of this season's 2024-25 Kings uniforms, which Sydney will wear in their match against Tasmania from 2.15pm, are shown by Shaun Bruce in the above graphic, alongside Flames' Cayla George - whose team's jerseys were unveiled earlier this month.
Both team's jerseys. will be available to purchase soon via their respective club's stores (Kings and Flames).
To prepare for the third annual event, the Flames recently held a breast health understanding session at Auburn PCYC with the McGrath Foundation's Ambassador Tracy Bevan, and McGrath Breast Care Nurses, Melissa Grady and Peta Brydon in attendance - with a video recapping the informative session below.

Mangakahia knows firsthand the impact the McGrath Breast Care Nurses can have.
"I have my own Breast Care nurse who supports me throughout my daily life with appointments and scans," said Mangakahia, who acknowledges events like Pink Hoops help the McGrath Foundation in ensuring no one going through breast cancer misses out on free care.
"I want other patients to experience the support of a breast care nurse the way I have.
"The more people who donate the more nurses there are for patients experiencing breast cancer."
GET INVOLVED AND DONATE
There are many ways Hoops Capital fans can support this event, which sees the Tiana Mangakahia MVP trophy awarded to the player of the game in the day's WNBL match, and The McGrath Foundation, including donating here or volunteering on the day here.
Hoops Capital's principal partner Harvey Norman will be contributing $100 for every three-pointer hit by the Flames and Kings on the day, assisting the club's goal by doubling last year's fundraising amount of $50,000.
PURCHASE YOUR PINK ATTIRE
Fans can pre-purchase specially designed Pink Hoops Kings and Flames jerseys (in which $5 from every purchase will be the McGrath Foundation by iAthletic and Firstever respectively) and shirts, via the club store, as well as donate to the McGrath Foundation volunteers who will be handing out pink headbands on the day.
Tickets to the hoops extravaganza, which will also see the Flames take on Adelaide from 11.45am, are still available here.
