The Sydney Kings are excited to announce Ignatius Mitchell has re-signed as a development player for the NBL23 season.
Mitchell, who was part of our club's championship run in NBL22, returns for a second stint with the reigning NBL champions at Qudos Bank Arena.
"I'm excited to be back and honestly thought returning for a second season is better for my career than heading over the college," said the 19-year-old, who recorded averages of 12.32 points, 8.05 rebounds, 2.42 assists and 0.84 steals for Norths Bears in NBL1 this campaign.

"I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of being around a professional club last year, learning first-hand from the best way to approach the game on and off the court.
"The impact year one with the Kings has on my game was evident during this season with Norths, where my shooting has come on leaps and bounds - purely by going up against guys like DJ [Vasiljevic] and [Shaun] Brucey each and every day.
"I have no doubt Sydney is the best place for me to help reach my basketball goals."
Mitchell and his teammates, which include Xavier Cooks, Dejan Vasiljevic, Shaun Bruce, Angus Glover, Derrick Walton Jr, Tim Soares, Justin Simon, Kouat Noi, Biwali Bayles, Jordan Hunter, Jaylin Galloway and Jackson Makoi, officially returned to the court on Monday, August 22 for the start of their pre-season.
